Foxrock is a leafy suburb of Dublin. We are in a terrific location - one mile (1.6KM) from the M50 Dublin ring-road; 2 minute walk from nearest mini-mart; 5 minute walk from nearest supermarket (Dunnes Stores Cornelscourt - groceries, clothes, pharmacy, cafe, hair salon etc); 2 minute walk from nearest bus stop for bus to city centre, or 10 minute walk for more regular bus-corridor route. Cabinteely Park is a 10 to 15 minute walk with a large popular playground. There's usually an ice-cream van parked there on summer days too.

Sandycove & Killiney beaches are about a 15 min. drive away, or you could go a bit further out to Greystones & Kilcoole beaches. The coastlines of Killiney and Bray Head offer amazing views of Dublin Bay and are just a short hop in the car from our house. Equally, we are only a few minutes drive from the foothills of the Dublin/Wicklow mountains.

Dundrum Town Centre is a large mall with a mix of shops/restaurants/multiplex cinema, and is about 15 minutes in the car. Also close by is Dun Laoghaire town and marina, which has two very long piers for walking, or you can walk the coastal promenade down to Sandycove beach.

Hop on a 46A bus (10 min walk from the house) and you're in Dublin City Centre in under 30 minutes off-peak. The nearest Luas tram stop is a 15-20 minute walk from the house, for Green Line trams to St. Stephens Green in the City Centre. You could also drive to the Luas Park & Ride car park, about a 3 minute drive from the house.
