Our home is a gorgeous, 5 bedroom house, about 5,800 sq feet in size, in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Austin. We are located in a suburb just outside of downtown, with views of the Capital building and the UT tower.
We have a nice yard, heated pool, hot tub, and outdoor viewing decks. The interior has hardwood floors, cozy beds, a stunning kitchen with top of the line appliances and even a media room with a 104" screen. We have an infant and a 3 year old, so childrens' toys and bed/ crib are all available for your use.
We have an Audi Quattro sedan that we would be happy to let you use as well.
Our home is surrounded by other equally lovely homes, including the original Governors mansion just a few houses down the road. It's a historic neighborhood that was designed by a developer from Connecticut. As a result, the houses are unique to Austin style homes. You will see Georgian colonials, English and French Tudors, Greek revival and Craftsman style houses all on the same block. Next to us is a Spanish house and ours is French Normandy inspired.
We are located just a mile outside of downtown central, and we have views of the skyline. We sit just a few blocks from the University of Texas campus, and as a result have an incredible amount of diverse activities within walking distance. The bus stops at the corner, and there is a free trolley (called the Dillo) that stops just 2 blocks away.
There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from, live music, theatre, shopping, parks and even bowling!
You can rent a kayak or paddle board at Townlake, take a run around the Townlake jogging trail, rent a boat on Lake Austin or Lake Travis and waterski or go tubing. You can hike the Barton creek trail, take a swim in Barton Springs pool (fed by a natural spring and always about 65 degrees....brrr). You can eat an incredible French meal prepared with nothing but local, organic ingredients, or eat off one of the hundreds of food trucks spread all around town. You can play a round of golf at one of the many public golf courses, or cycle around the town that Lance Armstrong calls home. Listen to Live Music at pretty much any bar or club in town, or go line-dancing at the famous Broken Spoke. Take in a UT football game, or a play at the Long Center (Broadway across America comes to Austin). You can eat down home serious BBQ at a place where the town sheriff directs traffic, or go down the road to Mandola's Winery for a wine tour and the best Italian Trattoria in town. You can eat fresh seafood in the Flagship Whole Foods Market located 1 mile from our house, or dine on Elk, Alligator or Wild Boar at Hudson's on the Bend a short drive away. Enjoy a spa day at the famed Lake Austin Spa and resort or at the Barton Creek Country Club and Spa and finish the day with a glass of wine in our hot tub. I could keep going...
We also have many festivals throughout the year, the most famous ones being the South by Southwest music and film festival in March, or the Austin City Limits festival in October.
